The River Anduin began its long journey between the Misty Mountains and the Grey Mountains. It was the longest river in the Middle-earth, 1,388 miles long. Here in the North, in ancient times, the One-ring was lost beneath its lucid waters.
Lothlorien, the magical forest of the Elves, nestled within its widening valley. Onward it flowed through the land of Rohan, beneath the White Mountains, passing the immense walls of Minas Tirith and then at last into the Great Sea.
The new banner page is in celebration of over 30 years of producing artwork inspired by the writing of JRR Tolkien. In 2011 Paul will produce a new fine art limited edition of the painting 'The Source of the Anduin', this edition will be limited to only 300 copies worldwide.
